Oshiomhole, Amaechi and other APC Governors Stopped from flying to Ekiti for Fayemi's rally

Aviation authorities on Thursday grounded the helicopter chartered to fly Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole from Benin Airport to Ado Ekiti.
It was the second time in about a year as the Governor’s helicopter was first recalled mid-air on June 7, last year.
According to a statement, Commander of the 81 Air Maritime Group, Benin City, Air Commodore Soji Awomodu told the Governor that he received “a call from above” that no private jet or helicopter be allowed to fly out of Benin City to either Akure or Ekiti.
The Governor who was billed to attend a mass rally organized to round-off the re-election campaigns of the Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, was left stranded at the Benin Airport for two hours before Air Commodore Awomodu delivered the message “from above”.

Outrage, yesterday, trailed the fencing off of some governors of the All Progressives Congress, APC, from Ekiti State by agents of the Federal Government hours before the police placed a 60-hour restriction on movements into and out of the state.
The APC governors who were to join other party stakeholders for a rally in Ado-Ekiti on the last day of campaigning for tomorrow’s gubernatorial election were either physically stopped from entering the state or stopped from leaving their states. Other APC chieftains, including Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who succeeded in making the trip to Ekiti through Akure airport were, however, denied the opportunity to fly back and were compelled to return by road.
