Ex-Militants Invade Illegal Bunkering Sites For A Free For All Fight

There was a display of power when ex-militants invaded some illegal bunkering sites along the waterways of Ekeremor in Bayelsa State yesterday. They had distroyed over 10,000 metric tonnes of stolen crude.
These youths who were under the agies of the Crusaders Against Oil Theft (CAOT) , had taken on illegal bunkerers and oil thieves in canoes and boats.
This was in a commando style and they had set everything ablaze. The indigenes of the various coastal communities in the region have aplauded the action of the youths.
The coordinator Felix Timilaemi of CAOT said "We overran the illegal refineries at night. It was a planned operation. We also destroyed four local boats.
Four pumping machines and other equipment worth millions of naira used by oil thieves Timilaemi added, when the illegal refinery operations saw us, they tried to resist our action, but discovering that we were greater in number. they abandoned their camps and ran away "
